조지아주 콜럼버스(Columbus) 시의 경제개발기관 Choose Columbus의 미시 켄드릭(Missy Kendrick) 대표이사(CEO)가 오는 10월 25일부터 28일까지 대한민국 진주에서 열리는 2025 진주 K-Entrepreneurship 국제포럼에 초청받아 참가한다.

글로벌 파트너십 강화
Choose Columbus 대표단은 포럼 참석과 더불어 한국 내 주요 기업과 정부 기관을 방문해 국제 협력을 강화할 계획이다.
대표단은 최근 콜럼버스에 영구자석(Permanent Magnet) 제조 공장 설립 계획을 발표한 한국 기업 JS Link를 방문한다. 이번 투자는 첨단 제조업 발전과 청정 에너지 공급망 구축, 지역 일자리 창출에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
또한 대표단은 조지아주 경제개발부(Georgia Department of Economic Development, GDEcD) 서울사무소를 방문해 콜럼버스와 조지아주의 투자 협력 확대 방안, 향후 비즈니스 기회, 글로벌 기업 유치 전략 등을 논의할 예정이다.

진주 K-Entrepreneurship 국제포럼 개요
진주 K-Entrepreneurship 국제포럼은 올해로 3회를 맞이한 글로벌 포럼으로, 전 세계 기업가와 학자, 정책입안자들이 모여 혁신과 협력의 방향을 모색하는 자리다.
글로벌 대전환 시대, 기업가정신의 역할(The Age of Global Transformation: The Role of Entrepreneurship)을 주제로 한 2025년 포럼에서는 기후 변화, 기술 혁신, 지속 가능한 발전, 인공지능의 책임 있는 활용 등 인류가 직면한 주요 과제를 논의한다.

Missy Kendrick, President/CEO of Choose Columbus, has been invited to represent the city of Columbus, Georgia, at the 2025 Jinju K-Entrepreneurship International Forum in Jinju, South Korea, from October 25–28, 2025.
Kendrick will join a distinguished delegation of Columbus leaders, including:

During their visit to South Korea, the Choose Columbus delegation will also meet with key business and government partners to strengthen global economic ties.
The team will visit JS Link, a South Korean company that recently announced plans to build a permanent magnet manufacturing facility in Columbus, Georgia — a major investment that will support advanced manufacturing, clean energy supply chains, and new local jobs.
Additionally, the delegation will visit the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) Seoul Office to discuss ongoing collaboration, future investment opportunities, and strategies to promote Georgia and Columbus as a premier destination for global business expansion.
